Social D – Photos & Review – From Mark Buirge

Thanks to Mark Buirge for sending his review for Social Distortion’s recent gig in Las Vegas our way.

Social Distortion was in town to rock your ass off at the House of Blues in Las Vegas NV. With songs like Road Zombie, Bad Luck, Sick Boy, California and Ring of Fire Social Distortion did it again. I have seen many Social Distortion concerts and I must say they get better and better every time. The music was tight and loud all in your face. If haven’t seen Mike Ness and the boys, make plans to see them the next time they are in your hood. As for me I will continue see Social D. and continue to enjoy there music.

Make sure to check out more of Mark Buirge’s work here.

Hellyeah Release Latest Video From Stampede!

Hellyeah, the supergroup featuring Mudvayne’s Chad Gray and Pantera’s Vinnie Paul (if you didn’t already know…), has released the video for their latest single off 2010′s “Stampede”. Don’t expect a party song this time; the guys have toned it down with this track (ie “Thank You” from their self titled album). Regardless, you should check it out. You can still have a beer while you listen to it, though…

About Time! New Soundgarden in 2011

First was the reunion announcement. Then a few live gigs. Then the announcement of a live album. Now, Soundgarden has confirmed that they are working on new music – their first in 15 years. AMEN!

No tour info yet, but Chris Cornell will be hitting the road on a solo acoustic tour in the spring. Perhaps a warm-up?

In the meantime…let’s enjoy the majesty of classic Soundgarden.

First Ever Avalanche Tour Kicking Off With Stone Sour & More!

Ah, the smell of a new tour. Don’t you love it?! I just saw Stone Sour this past Saturday with Avenged Sevenfold and they were awesome, but I was kept wanting more.

There’s only so much you can get in a 45 minute setlist, so I’m amped to see Stone Sour will be headlining the inaugural Avalanche Tour.

Not quite sure what the Avalanche part is all about, but should be a cool tour nonetheless. Halestorm and Theory of a Deadman are among the opening acts for this early spring tour (yes, start thinking of spring!).

Metalachi – Sweet Child Of Mine

This is pretty amazing. Jimmy Roc is attempting to get together with Metalachi for an interview to learn more. Maybe if I bring my trombone they’ll let me jam? Yes I just referred to myself in the 3rd and 1st person in the same post.
