Granted, it’s not “new”, but “Live on I-5″ is a collection of previously unreleased live material taken from their tour in 1996 (aka the last time they toured).

With an album of brand new material set to be released this year, we can only hope and assume that Soundgarden will be hitting the road for the first time in nearly fifteen years. Chris Cornell embarks on an acoustic solo tour in April, which will wrap up in May. Soundgarden summer tour anyone?

The album hits stores this Tuesday, but take a listen right now!

The tour begins February 1st in Baltimore and wraps up in their homestate of Massachusetts at the Paradise in Boston on February 27th.
